FAQ:

  • 1. How much does it cost?

    Our placement fee is 15% of your nanny’s gross annual salary, payable once you hire. To begin the search, there’s an £800 payment, which is deducted from your final fee, so you never pay twice. The nanny’s wages are paid directly to them, separately, and are typically £18 to £25 an hour.

  • 2. Is the £800 refundable? The £800 is paid at the start and isn’t refundable, as it covers your full intake, safeguarding checks and my time searching for your match. It’s deducted from your final fee.
  • 3. What if the placement doesn’t work out?
    Before anything is confirmed, there’s a trial placement. If it doesn’t work out within the first four weeks, we offer one free replacement search.

  • 4. How long does it take?
    Usually between two and eight weeks, depending on your hours, location and your child’s needs. I take the time to find the right person, not whoever is available.
  • 5. I need someone quickly. Can you help?

    A permanent search takes time, but I may be able to arrange vetted ad hoc cover from my network while we search. I can’t promise availability, but I’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
  • 6. How do you vet your nannies?

    I interview every nanny personally. Each is DBS checked and trained in paediatric first aid and safeguarding. I check their right to work in the UK, and I confirm every reference.

  • 7. Can I use direct payments or short breaks funding?

    Some families can, but the rules vary between councils. It’s worth asking your local authority whether it can be used toward our service. I’m happy to send information to help with that conversation.
